…we’ve been best friends since age 15…
How you met & when:
We’ve been best friends since age 15. As we grew up, going to different colleges, finding careers – we still managed to stay close. It wasn’t until a few years ago that we really reconnected and turned the friendship into a relationship. We took that relationship to London, got engaged & the rest is history!
The Proposal
We took a long weekend trip from London to Dublin. Once we got there, we took a drive to Wicklow Mountains National Park for some fresh air. It was cold & rainy – but we wanted to hike anyway! At the top there was a clearing with a beautiful lake, I turned around, and there he was with the ring (trying to avoid all of the puddles of mud). Just moments later, the sun started to peak out. It was beautiful!
Venue: With the pandemic in full swing, we had to change plans from Dingle to Northern Ireland at the last minute. We were actually so excited with the change, as neither of us had ever been. It was hard to just choose one location, so we had 4 : Dunluce Castle, Dunseverick Castle, The Dark Hedges & Giant’s Causeway.
Theme: Since it was just going to be the two of us, we wanted the vibe to be relaxed and stress-free. It ended up being just that – no real-time constraints or schedules to hold to. It was perfect.
Wedding Dress: I went toa total of 3 boutiques around London (after looking around online for months). As soon as I tried on a few dresses at Grace Loves Lace with amazing help from one of their staff members, I knew I was going to purchase the one here. A week later it was a done deal! I ended up with the Rosa in a nude underlay – it has beautiful rose embroidered lace and as a bonus – it was made of super comfortable/stretchy material. I also opted for having comfy feet – ordering personalized Wedding Converse in Ivory with our date & my new surname.
Grooms Suit: He had on a Hugo Boss navy blue suit, light green tie & Cole Haan light tan dress shoes
Favorite Moments of your wedding day: Getting photographed at beautiful Northern Ireland locations and driven around in a vintage car all day was so surreal and exciting (with everyone honking at us as well!). The moment we logged onto our video conference and exchanged vows with the ability our loved ones watching on was also a favorite of ours. In times like these, although they weren’t able to travel to be with us, we were grateful they were still able to be with us digitally.

“Nerijus was the perfect fit for our big day. From beginning to end – we felt at ease (which isn’t a normal feat for us in front of the camera!). We wanted to have candid, natural shots of us throughout the day and we got just that plus so much more. He made sure to scout out all of the locations ahead of our photos and managed to get the best shots we could’ve asked for. We’re in love with all of the photos and cannot wait to see them made into beautiful photo albums.”
