“Wedding of the Week: pals played Cupid for a lucky couple”

Love may be in the air this week as Valentine’s Day looms, but Cork couple Caroline Curran and Seán Weir were lucky enough to have real-life versions of Cupid in the form of their pals.
Rochestown native Caroline and Seán, from Frankfield. met through friends. “I worked with Seán’s housemate Colin and Colin together with his wife Aisling Gallagher played matchmaker,” said Caroline.
Caroline and Seán were married at the end of December in the Honan Chapel, University College Cork, by Reverend Michael Keohane.
“Bean and Gone Mobile Coffee Bar served coffees and cookies outside the church which our guests loved before hitting the road to Killarney.”
“We always knew we wanted a winter wedding and had our big day on December 30,” said Caroline.
“Everything went perfectly — even the weather stayed mild! We had the most incredible day with close family and friends.
“Caitriona was amazing throughout our wedding planning process. She could not have done more for us and nothing was too much trouble.”

Nerijus Karmilcovas from K Photography created the perfect wedding album with Maurice O’Carroll from Velvetine Studios as the videographer.
Caroline looked picture-perfect in a Kathy De Stafford dress from De Stafford Bridal in Dublin. The bridal hairstyling was by Dawn Monaher from Hairy Fairy Salon with make-up was by Andrea Murphy.
Bloomsday Flowers took care of the floral arrangements and the groom and his party looked chic in suits from the Remus Uomo store on St Stephen’s Green.
Magician Steve Spade entertained the guests before the band, The Pat Fitz Band, struck up for the dancing.
The newlyweds, who will reside in Dublin, headed for Lanzarote for some winter sun and concluded their honeymoon with a skiing trip to Zell am See in Austria.
